Il 17° BIG Gathering dei piper italiani si terrà a Calambrone (Pi), dal pomeriggio di venerdì 20 settembre al pomeriggio di domenica 22 presso la struttura Regina Mundi sulle rive del mare che già ci ha ospitato per la spring school .
Il nostro ospite fisso, ormai divenuto piacevolissima consuetudine, sarà Roddy MacLeod MBE, figura di primissimo piano del piping mondiale e direttore del National Piping Centre, nonché ambasciatore del piping italiano di cui sta seguendo costantemente l’evoluzione.
Come l’anno scorso vogliamo proporre dei “set” di brani che potrete studiare fin dai prossimi giorni –qui trovate gli spartiti sia di questo anno che dell’anno scorso.– e che saranno eseguiti tutti insieme al concerto pubblico del sabato sera che stiamo cercando di organizzare su Pisa sia per il concerto che per la massed band, ma ancora non ci sono certezze. Questi set LI useremo anche per fare pratica durante i giorni del gathering, focalizzando così lo studio su un tema preciso senza disperderci. Naturalmente anche i set dell’anno passato per chi li sa possono venire buoni per la massed…qui trovate gli spartiti sia di questo anno che dell’anno scorso.
Snare Drum stage.
anche quest’ anno sarà presente uno snare drummer super qualificato , Gus Sicard già vincitore , con la Inverery & District Pipe Band dei campionati del mondo di pipe and e Campione di Bretagna con la Bagad Cape Caval. Preghiamo quindi i pipe major delle bande di informare i loro drummer della presenza dello stage di Snare Drumming al gathering.
BIG Competition: Come sempre la nostra competizione serve a stimolare e a farvi capire dove lavorare in futuro è CONSIGLIATISSIMMO partecipare.
Sono confermate le tre categorie: pipe tune – marching set 4 parti di marcia, quindi una marcia in 4 parti o due in 2 parti.–MSR (4 parti almeno ciascuno, possibilità di riaccordare dopo la march).

Sistemazione Standard:
Pensione completa dalla cena del 20 settembre al pranzo del 22 settembre compresi in camera condivisa (Le camere saranno doppie) con bagno + attività del gathering. Costo 170 € per chi si iscrive entro il 31 luglio, 190 € per chi si iscrive oltre questa data.
Sistemazione Romantic: con accompagnatore/accompagnatrice
Pensione completa dalla cena del 20 settembre al pranzo del 22 settembre compresi per entrambi gli ospiti in camera doppia con bagno + attività del gathering per uno degli ospiti. Costo 290 € per chi si iscrive entro il 31 luglio, 320 € per chi si iscrive oltre questa data. ( fino ad esaurimento disponibilità)
Nel caso di coppie in cui entrambi partecipano alle attività del gathering (non semplice accompagnatore) iscriversi singolarmente in in stanza condivisa aggiungendo il nominativo dell’altro nella sezione “in camera con” del modulo (caparra per due naturalmente )

Pensione completa dalla cena del 20 settembre al pranzo del 22 settembre compresi in camera singola con bagno + attività del gathering. Costo 220 € per chi si iscrive entro il 31 luglio 240 € per chi si iscrive oltre questa data. ( fino ad esaurimento disponibilità) Vista la scarsa disponibilità di stanze singole attendete la conferma proma di effettuare il bonifico
al momento della prenotazione è richiesta una caparra di € 90 o € 120 in caso di sistemazione con accompagnatore che non sarà restituita in caso di assenza da versare tramite bonifico da versare sull’ iban indicato nel modulo

The 17th BIG Gathering of Italian pipers will be held in Calambrone (Pisa), from the afternoon of Friday 20 September to the afternoon of Sunday 22nd at the Regina Mundi Holiday House that has already hosted us for spring school.We are delighted to announce our continuing partnership with the National Piping Centre in Glasgow. Our guests include our very welcome, highly regarded and world-renowned piper Roddy MacLeod, principal of the National Piping Centre. He is also ambassador of the Italian piping of which, he is personally monitoring its development.
Like last year we want to propose the study of the “sets” of songs that you will be able to study from the next days – here you will find the scores both of this year and of the last year. that we are trying to organize on Pisa both for the concert and for the massed band, but there are still no certainties. We will also use these sets to practice during the gathering days, thus focusing the study on a specific theme without losing ourselves. Snare Drum Stage
Also this year there will be a super qualified drummer teacher, Gus Sicard, former winner, with the Inverery & District Pipe Band of the world championships of pipe band and Champion of Brittany with the Bagad Cape Caval.
BIG Competition: we confirm the usual three categories: pipe tune – marching set (4 parts, so either 1 four-part or 2 two-part tunes) – MSR (at least four parts each, possibility of tuning after the march).
Tarif
Standard shared in double room
Full board , from the dinner on 20thto the lunch on 22nd in a shared double en-suite bedroom + gathering activities) 170 € for those registering by 31st July. 190 € for those registering after that date.
Romantic with chaperon in double room
With a chaperon: full board, from the dinner on 20th to the lunch on 22nd for both of the guests in an en-suite double bedroom + gathering activities for one of the guests, 290 € for those registering by 31st July. 320 € for those registering after that date (until the last availability).
In the case of couples which both participate atgathering activities (not a simple chaperon) register individually in a shared room r(oom are no bigger then a double)by adding the name of the other in the “in room with” section of the form (deposit for two of course)
Lone Wolf single Room This accomodation is Sold Out
Single bedroom. Full board from the dinner on 21st to the lunch on 23rd included, in a single en-suite bedroom + gathering activities, 220 € per those registering by 31st July; 240€ for those registering after that date (until the last availability).
The application form should indicate that a 90 € deposit + 30 € if if you choose the accommodation with chaperon. (not refundable) has been done to the API bank account (IBAN code shown in the application form).
